The Wine Cellar and the vineyards of “Radmilovac” is the heart of the estate, situated just at the exit of the archaeological town of Vinca. With more than 870 different varieties of grapevine. Our State company entertain a high quality of wine & rakije due to a long tradition and an advanced expertise from the Faculty of Agriculture.

O.D Radmilovac is more than a simple cellar outbound of the Serbian Capital which produces varieties of beverages, but can be considered as a truly structure, particularly attentive on pedagogy but also on the expertise for high quality productions.

Located just on the outbound of the Serbian Capital City, ODPF “Radmilovac” is an institute which hosts more than a simple cellar. Indeed, the experimental farm is a unique national resource especially in areas of agricultural sciences.
Radmilovac is an endowment of Radmila and Milan Vukićević, who, in a testament of 1941, left their estate to the Faculty of Agriculture of Belgrade University (Serbia).

As Mr. Milan Vukićević noted in his own testament :

"Radmilovac estate has to belong to the State, or the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, for practical instruction in all branches of agriculture, graduate students from the Faculty of Orthodox Serbia”

The Institute is a national resource with more than 110 apple, 80 peach, 350 grape and 60 apricot and plum varieties respectively obtained after multiple decades. Gene bank fruit is especially important for the large number autochthonic varieties a large number of genotypes of peach, pears, cherry plum, wild cherry clones.

Spanning on 86 hectares, it is no wonder then that Radmilovac is the largest fruit variety gene bank in southeastern Europe.

For years, the Faculty of Agriculture has been improving its infrastructure and promoting practical trainings and thereby strengthen the experimental station of Radmilovac. A significant part of the experimental station, the gene bank as a very large genetic basis available among thousands of varieties enables further scientific researches for creation of new and better varieties of fruit trees and vines.

Students from Belgrade faculties and more generally from Serbia come to visit the estate of Radmilovac frequently for their practice trainings directed by high-skilled personnel The will of our estate is to ensure a satisfactory level of instruction and to achieve the quality of the studies for our trainees in ODPF. Indeed, this devotion for conveying knowledge and skills is from the wish of Milan Vukićević.

Since 1991, “Radmilovac” is considered as an experimental station, parted in 3 other major parts specialized in agriculture research & development :

- Centre for applied hydrology & Fishery - "project Little Danube"
- Centre for Honey-Bees and bee housing
- Centre for Orchards & Fruit Varieties
